Samer was a Senior Associate and Social Impact Bond Lead for the MaRS Centre for Impact Investing. He provided advisory services to clients and was responsible for testing and executing on outcome finance opportunities across Canada. Prior to joining MaRS, Samer was a member of Scotia Capital’s Mergers & Acquisitions team where he worked with leading corporations and institutional investors on strategic matters and execution of investment and exit mandates. Samer’s other experiences include engineering and capital project controls with Vale across Canada, and an investment rotation with PADICO Holding in the Middle-East. He is the president of the Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Toronto and has previously chaired the New Venture Competition. Samer holds a bachelor of mechanical engineering from McGill University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
