Position Start Date: January 2019

This position is offered in part by the MaRS Student Work Placement program, which connects post-secondary students with work placements in technology and business.

Think Research is changing the way healthcare is delivered - and not in the Buckley's 'tastes awful but it works' kind of way. Working with approximately 1000 hospitals across Canada, the US and the EU, we help solve some of the largest challenges in our healthcare system. We create clinical software that aims to deliver evidence-based practices and clinical support tools to front line clinicians. You will be working as part of the Clinical Research and Development department at Think Research, responsible for translating clinical knowledge and best practices into actionable support tools to improve the delivery of healthcare in Canada, USA, and EU. You will collaborate closely with our multi-disciplinary team of clinicians to support the build of these tools. The first two weeks you will be introduced to the projects, tools and roles on the Clinical Research and Development team. You will be paired with a mentor who will work with you to define your learning objectives and introduce you to your first project. Throughout the placement, you will have the opportunity to work on projects, culminating with choosing your own self-directed project. Past co-op cohorts have chosen to work on research projects, presentations to the company, and hackathons. At Think, we treat all of our co-op students as full-time employees. Our objective is to provide the most valuable co-op experience through learning and advancement to prepare all students to enter the workforce post-graduation. We provide the tools to fully integrate each student as part of the team. We have frequent events and deeply value a collaborative culture. Our pragmatic, friendly, and welcoming team makes coming to work feel like we’re not only improving the delivery of healthcare, but building strong friendships at the same time.
