During the hiring process, it is advisable to conduct some initial telephone interviews in order to screen candidates. Naturally, through this process, some applicants will be deemed of interest for further consideration while others will be eliminated, based on your hiring needs. Ensure that all candidates you interview are managed respectfully and that you maintain their goodwill, as everyone is a potential source of referral. For every applicant interviewed by phone, provide a follow-up response.
