If you’re an entrepreneur who is looking to raise a round you should know about AngelList. If you’ve missed it, here’s the elevator pitch:
AngelList is an online community that helps startups find investors. And investors find startups.
While the founders of AngelList, Naval Ravikant and Babak Nivi, are recognized experts in pitching, I’d still recommend they change their pitch to “AngelList is the online community that helps startups find investors. And investors find startups.”
Since launching in December of 2009 it’s grown—fast. In 2011, 500 startups and 2,500 investors joined the network and the reviews from entrepreneurs are glowing:

“can’t imagine a better or faster way to close an early stage financing”

“perfectly efficient rolodex”
“direct access to a dream list of angels and VCs”

At MaRS, we’ve seen a growing number of local startups using AngelList and have been encouraged by the early results, so we thought it would be worthwhile to convene a group of local startups and angels and let them hear from Naval directly, how to “rock” the angel list.
On March 5 Naval will give a 30- to 45-minute presentation (via live videolink) on how AngelList works and how to get the most out of it. Then, he’ll take questions from the audience. Afterward, we’ll continue the discussion about AngelList in particular and about angel rounds in general.
