Spark Power’s three-year partnership with MaRS going strong
It has been one year since Spark Power Corp. (Spark Power) entered its partnership with MaRS Discovery District‘s (MaRS) Advanced Energy Centre (AEC) – and all parties could not be more thrilled. The three-year agreement, which identifies, develops and offers advanced business solutions to the power and utility sector, demonstrates both organizations’ commitment to fostering innovation in Canada’s energy sector.
“In Year One of our partnership with the AEC, Spark Power has delivered numerous events, workshops and panels, meeting key stakeholders in the energy industry. We’ve also been given a great opportunity to offer thought leadership on the evolving North American market,” says Ron Seftel, President of Spark Power Solutions. “We’re excited to continue this progressive partnership, working closely with AEC initiatives, empowering businesses and communities with the tools to better manage our future energy resources.”
Additionally, Spark Power recently acquired Bullfrog Power, enabling the two organizations to create the Utility of the Future, offering smart, innovative and sustainable solutions in solar, storage, electric vehicle infrastructure and other energy efficiency technologies. Together, Spark Power and Bullfrog Power will expand and evolve their solutions offerings to empower Canadians to conserve, generate or store energy at home or with their business – while helping build healthier energy systems for future generations.
Bullfrog Power will also be joining the AEC as a member. Over the next two years, the collaboration between Spark Power, Bullfrog Power and MaRS will focus on shared priorities: advanced data solutions, opportunities for customers and innovative energy sector business models.
“We’re looking forward to building our relationship with such a forward-thinking company like Spark Power,” Says Ron Dizy, director of the AEC. “It allows us to work on meaningful projects that will transform the sector.”
