NSW Government has now launched Round 3 Medical Devices Fund (MDF) 2015/2016. The MDF helps encourage and support investment in the development and commercialisation of medical devices and related technologies in NSW. The Fund is a $5 million per annum competitive technology developments and commercialisation program. In this 2015/2016 round $6.7 million in grant funding is available.
The application process is a three stage process:
Stage One: Online Eligibility and Commercial Opportunity (Open 12th December 2014)
Stage Two: Preliminary Application Form (Open 12th December 2014)
Stage Three: Full Application Form (Invitation Only)
Applicants will self-determine whether they proceed from stage 1 to stage 2, and full applications (stage 3) will be by invitation only.
Professor Mary O’Kane, NSW Chief Scientist and Engineer will continue her role as Chair of the Expert Group appointed to assess Medical Devices Fund applications.
