CAHO Supports Ontario’s Continued Investment in Innovation and Health Innovation Leadership
The Council of Academic Hospitals of Ontario (CAHO) released a statement of support in light of the Ontario Government’s announcement to invest additional funds to secure the MaRS Phase 2 building for future new tenants who meet the mandate of MaRS including medical research and life science organizations.
CAHO is represented on the MaRS EXCITE Management Board and is a key partner in MaRS programs and initiatives.
From the CAHO statement:
” Investment in health research and innovation is a foundation for jobs and new economic opportunities and a better quality of life. Indeed, access to health research leads to better care earlier for patients and the people closest to us. Making this happen requires investment, infrastructure and partnerships. In this spirit, we support the initiatives announced today concerning the MaRS Discovery District. Ontario’s investment in MaRS provides critical facilities for health research and producing future health innovations.”
